Zachariah Blott, Founder/Writer/Editor

Zachariah Blott earned a Journalism degree from the University of Pittsburgh while covering Big East hoops for the local daily during the Allen Iverson-Ron Artest era. He then coached high school and AAU basketball in Baltimore for 6 years before moving to the West Coast, where he reffed high-school ball for a little bit and has written for Empty The Bench since the 2008-09 season. Outside of following a plethora of sports (including roller derby), Zachariah enjoys checking out cities all over the globe, playing vintage video games, and watching movies heavy on “character development.”

Jonathan Gault, Contributing Writer

Jonathan Gault is a sophomore at Dartmouth College. In addition to Behind The Basket, he edits and writes for The Dartmouth sports section and co-hosts a sports talk show on WDCR 1340, Dartmouth’s radio station. Jonathan is also a member of his school's cross country and track and field teams. He became a die-hard Boston sports fan upon moving to Massachusetts from the United Kingdom in 2001. Aside from sports, Jonathan is interested in Rock Band and ping-pong. His favorite writer is Bill Simmons.
